Apoquel Tablets for Dogs (16 mg)
Helps to relieve itching and inflammation resulting from allergic reactions and environmental irritants. Starts working fast, relieving symptoms within 4 hours, and continues to work for 24 hours after administering. Apoquel may be used for short or long-term treatment. Apoquel provides quick and lasting relief, without many of the side effects associated with steroid treatments.
- Relieves itching and inflammation caused by allergic skin disease (atopy, atopic dermatitis) in dogs 12 months of age and older.
Possible Side Effects:
The most common side effects were vomiting and diarrhea. These side effects occurred in only a small percentage of dogs treated with Apoquel, and typically stopped on their own.
Drug & Food Interactions:
Apoquel has not been tested in dogs receiving medications commonly used to treat skin conditions such as glucocorticoids, cyclosporines, and other systemic immunosuppressive agents.
Do not use Apoquel in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel may increase the chances of developing serious infections and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse.
Apoquel has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporyne.
Apoquel is not intended for use in breeding dogs or pregnant or lactating females. Dogs taking Apoquel should be monitored for the development of infections.
