Feline m/d® 
For Obesity and Diabetes.

For veterinarians with overweight Feline patients, Hill’s now provides 2 nutritional therapy options: Prescription Diet® Feline r/d® is a low calorie, high fiber, nutritional therapy with the highest levels of L-Carnitine to effectively reduce weight and increase muscle mass while keeping cats feeling full. Prescription Diet® Feline m/d® is an alternative nutritional therapy for weight loss in cats. Feline m/d is a low carbohydrate, high protein food with the highest levels of L-Carnitine that alters a cats unique metabolism to reduce body fat and increase muscle mass. Added fiber increases satiety. Feline m/d® is also useful as a nutritional aid for cats with diabetes mellitus.The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® m/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

 
 
Daily Feeding Guide
For Weight Loss:
These ranges are a starting point only. Determine the amount to feed based on your pet's target weight rather than the current weight. Your pet may need less or more food to safely lose weight. Adjust as needed.
With your veterinarian’s approval, mix increasing amounts of your pet’s new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7 day period.
Keep fresh water available at all times. If switching from a canned product, make sure your pet drinks an adequate quantity of water to avoid constipation.
Feline m/d® is available in canned and dry. When using with Feline m/d canned, decrease the amount of dry food to avoid overfeeding.
For Adult Maintenance:
These ranges are a starting point only. Adjust as needed. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed to maintain proper weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian.
