Detailed Description

Feline p/d®
For the Nutritional Management of Kittens.

During their first year, growing kittens have special nutritional needs. Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Feline p/d® brand pet food meets these needs. Balanced levels of calcium, phosphorus and other nutrients permit a smooth transition at weaning and provide high-quality nutrition to maturity. Prescription Diet® Feline p/d® also contains high levels of protein, energy and minerals to aid in recovery. Feline p/d® can be used as a recuperative formula for acute or chronic debilitating diseases such as trauma, sepsis, anemia, parasitism and surgery. For cats requiring assisted feeding, refer to Canine/Feline a/d® veterinary exclusive pet food. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® p/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Daily Feeding Guide
For kittens/pregnant cats: These amounts are a starting point only. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed to maintain proper weight. If you are unsure, or if you are feeding Prescription Diet Feline p/d® to a kitten or a pregnant/nursing cat, ask your veterinarian.
For nursing cats: keep food available at all times.
Keep fresh water available at all times!
With your veterinarian’s approval, mix increasing amounts of your pet’s new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.
Feline p/d is available in canned & dry. Supplementation with other foods is unnecessary and may decrease the effectiveness of the food.
When using with Feline p/d dry, decrease the amount of canned food to avoid overfeeding.
