Detailed Description

Canine g/d®
For the Nutritional Management of Older Dogs.

Older dogs are at risk of many diseases and require food designed to help reduce nutrient excesses that may be harmful to their system. For example, by reducing sodium, dogs with mild heart disease are less likely to exhibit signs associated with sodium and fluid retention. Increasing Omega-3 fatty acids and low sodium may help improve blood flow to the kidneys while helping to minimixe high blood pressure. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® g/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Daily Feeding Guide

These ranges are a starting point only. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian.

With your veterinarian's approval, mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.

Canine g/d® is available in canned and dry. Supplementation with other foods is unnecessary and may decrease the effectiveness of the food. When using with Canine g/d canned, decrease the amount of dry food to avoid overfeeding.
