Canine s/d®

For the Nutritional Management of Dogs with Urinary Tract Disease. Urinary tract disease in dogs is often caused by the formation of mineral-based crystals and stones in the urinary tract that can cause discomfort, bloody urine and even life-threatening obstruction. For dogs, struvite crystals generally cause urinary tract disease. Prescription Diet® s/d® is formulated by veterinarians to help dissolve struvite crystals and stones in your dog. Prescription Diet s/d® has highly reduced levels of magnesium, phosphorus and protein, and also produces an acid urine pH, to aid in the management of struvite crystals and stones. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® s/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Daily Feeding Guide

Cover and refrigerate unused portion. These ranges are a starting point only. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. Supplementation with other foods is unnecessary and may decrease the effectiveness of the food. With your veterinarian’s approval, mix increasing amounts of your pet’s new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.
