Milk Replacer For Puppies And Food Supplement For Adult Dogs Containing Colostrum, Dha And Viable (live) Naturally Occurring Micro-organisms
Pro-Biolac is a nutritionally complete milk replacer to be fed as a nutritional supplement when the supply of bitch's milk is inadequate or as the sole ration for orphan puppies. When indicated, Pro-Biolac may be used to fortify the ration of bitches to help meet the increased nutritional requirements in late gestation and early lactation. Whenever possible puppies should receive colostrum (bitch's first milk) for the first 2 days, since this supplies antibodies essential to disease resistance in early life.

Feeding Instructions
Reconstituted Pro-Biolac solution should be fed at body temperature. Use of a nurser bottle is recommended. Feed puppies at least 2 tablespoons (30ml) per 4 ounces (113g) of body weight daily. Divide the daily feeding amount into equal portions for each feeding. For the first 4 days of feeding Pro-Biolac the daily amount should be divided into 6 to 8 feedings. The number of feedings can then be gradually reduced to 4 per day (dividing the daily volumes into 4 equal parts). Puppies should be allowed to consume as much formula as they want during each feeding. Stool consistency provides a measure of the appropriate feeding level. If diarrhea develops, consult your veterinarian for advice. Cleanliness of feeding equipment (nursing bottle/bowl) is extremely important. Always wash with hot soapy water. Rinse and dry well after each use.
Pregnant And Lactating Bitches
Feed 2 teaspoons (4g) per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight daily until 2 weeks after bitching.

Directions
To make 8 fl. oz. of Pro-Biolac, add warm water approximately halfway to fill line. Shake well. Then fill of all the way to fill line with warm water and shake until all powder is dissolved. Refrigerate after mixing. Discard if not used within 24 hours after mixing. To mix less than 8oz. of formula, add 2 parts powder to 3 parts warm water and mix until all powder is dissolved.

Mixing Instructions
Using the enclosed (1 Tbsp.) scoop, add 2 scoops powder to 3 scoops warm water and mix until all powder is dissolved. This dilution will make approximately 60 ml (2 oz.) of formula. Do not prepare more formula than can be used in 24 hours. Refrigerate reconstituted formula.

Weaning Puppies
When puppies are old enough to lap, begin offering reconstituted formula in a shallow bowl. After puppies begin to lap, mix reconstituted formula with puppy food to form a thin gruel. Gradually increase the amount of puppy food and decrease the amount of formula until puppies are eating only puppy food. Ensure that fresh water is always available.
Pregnant And Lactating Bitches
Feed 2 teaspoons (4g) per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight daily until 2 weeks after bitching.
Growing Puppies, Show Dogs And Convalescing Dogs
Supplement regular ration with 1 teaspoon (2g) of Pro-Biolac per 5 lbs. (2.2kg) body weight daily.
